See How Trembling Stray Pup Thanks Rescuer When She Realizes She's Finally Safe

Eden, a scared, homeless dog had been wandering the LA neighborhood for weeks. Julie Maigret, saw the pup and tried multiple times to win her over, but she ran away every time. Finally, Julie contacted Hope for Paws for help. When rescuers arrived it was a cold, wet day and the small Pit Bull mix was hiding in a garage.
Over the next hour, rescuers worked to safely get the dog into a cage so she could be taken to the hospital for a checkup. The quaking dog barked and ran, scared, until rescuers were able to secure her with a leash and woo her over with hesitant pets and soothing tones. Watch the touching video at the end of the article to see the change in Eden when she realizes she is safe.

Once Eden is comfortable in the cage, she looks like a new dog. Gone are the shivers and shakes. Instead, she is curiously watching as the rescuers load her into the truck. Once she arrives for a checkup, it's obvious that this loving dog just needed to be won over. She even curls up next to Julie, a face she is now very familiar with.
Thanks to the combined efforts of ChewsLife and Hope for Paws, Eden has been adopted by a family. Unfortunately, there are still many more dogs in need of a home. ChewsLife is only one of many organizations that foster dogs who are in need of a permanent place to live. To learn more about pet rescues in your area, visit Rescue Me.
